How To Fight Everyday Sexism
When Laura Bates was groped on the street, it wasn't just the experience itself she found so disturbing, but the way it lingered afterwards, and how alone she felt in her shame. So she created a place for women to share their stories in the form of a web site and a hashtag. Everydaysexism is now a global network of expression and connection where there once was silence. The more voices we hear, the more impossible it becomes to deny the problem.

The shame comes from what others make us feel. Think for yourself and shame, shame on them! Being a woman these days can almost feel like a high wire balancing act but since we are 53% of the population now, I think it behooves us to take a stand and make our mark.
