Tatia Pilieva got a bunch of strangers together, paired them up, and directed them to start making out. Then she filmed the first kiss magic ten times over. It's uncomfortably awkward, until it becomes palpably electric. And weirdly evocative of the real thing. Because, in some way, it kinda is.
Commenters have pointed out that some of these strangers are actors. The filmmaker's description reads only "We asked twenty strangers to kiss for the first time..." Does this make it less real? Do you have to be untrained to have an authentic experience?

There can be only one WIFEY…Sandra Otterson!!!!!!!
Who cares if they were actors. I thought it was lovely. It made me smile.
I would think two actors could be strangers :)I have always wanted to see this moment, with actors. I am fascinated. For me it is something way too intimate to fake. But I guess most people can get used to a lot of things, if they do it enough times, and develop useful techniques… 😉
Hey- thanks for the info. The description we used came straight from the director. I’ll add that some of these people are actors, though it seems from the dialogue that at least one of them is not.
sebastian +1… its not cool to lie and say there was a bunch of strangers, its really pissing me off… so from all my heart i send you a warm Fuck you 🙂
Hey Wifey…this film is filled with recognizable actors. Tatia Pilieva didn’t so much get “a bunch of strangers together,” as cast a film. In which professional actors kiss other professional actors. Like actors do. There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as it’s clear to the audience. In this case, you didn’t make that clear.
