From Sheep To Boobs
The Knit-A-Boob project is the brain/boob child of artist Jordana Munk Martin of Oak Knit Studio, and it's a beauty: a once a year knti-a-thon where knitters new and old come together to create handcrafted prostheses for breast cancer survivors. The results are both cozy and great looking (available in a variety of colors) and clearly infused with the good vibes of the hands that create them. If you're in Brooklyn on Friday May 16th and looking to do good work for a good cause, check out the knit-a-boob page for more info. Beginners are welcome, so you can learn to knit while you make a difference!
