Here's What Google is Doing To Get More Women Into Tech
After its diversity report that showed that only 30% of their employes were women and a measly 2% of employes were African-American, Google held an event called Made With Code focused on inspiring young women to learn to code and enter the tech world. They've partnered with Code School, a self-learning code program, to offer women and minorities three months free, and have pledged to put 50 million dollars toward increasing diversity. It's definitely a step in the right direction, but will Google be hiring people with just a Code School education?
Sorry, we are not discussing this one.
