Maybe people should watch the whole interview ,and also not twist the stream of consciousness statements that someone makes at such a high adrenaline
moment and just give it a rest , we all know what she meant , and if you opened your heart and ears you would hear it.
She’s a wonderful woman ! who Just won an acadamy award people , and made a great statement from her heart ,so relax
I’d like to see some other groups come and volunteer for women’s rights. Especially those that have nothing to gain from it. As women have been doing for them, all along. It’s that simple.
I don’t think she’s saying women’s rights are more important that gay or civil rights. It’s weird to say one is more important than the other. They’re all important. And there’s still so many that aren’t talked about. But we talk about what is personal or meaningful to us and since she’s not gay or a person of color, she wants to bring attention to a topic that is mostly likely personal and meaningful to her. I think we all do that. And since she had the microphone, might as well use it!

Funny. That the two highest paid women in Hollywood jumped to their feet in support Streep and Jaylo .
Misleading video caption. Excellent answers.
