Firstly this is sponsored by some supermarket. Secondly the world’s population cannot survive only on organic food I think, too many humans in the world. Thirdly it isn’t only the food we eat which is full of chemicals. Everything we use, from toiletries, makeup, cleaning products, etc. Air and water pollution too. So people who say people were healthier in old times need to consider all the lifestyle changes in the last 50 years. The advances in medicine also mean diseases can be detected more than in the past. It’s funny no one mentions daily ‘poisons’like alcohol or other drugs though or cooking your food in a microwave! In other words, the whole issue cannot be taken out of context, it is all linked. If you really want to have an ultra healthy life go live in the Amazon and just eat fruits or whatever 🙂
@ “Rose” (who said her manager eats organic and always has headaches).
I can GUARANTEE that the headaches are NOT from the healthy food your manager is eating, but they are because your manager is UNDER-EATING! not having enough calories will ALWAYS give headaches, (no matter how healthy the food is).
also: if she is getting sick often, then again, perhaps lack of food… (despite the small food she has is healthy, she needs to eat MORE of it). or also, perhaps she is sleeping badly.
(loads of ‘healthy’ eaters forget the importance of sleep).
How about growing your own organic food? It is expensive to buy organic foods, but non-gmo, organic seeds can be purchased. You can plant in your back yard if you have a house or in containers if you live in an area where you have a limited space.
I try to eat healthy and yes i can’t afford organic the fact that our water is full of chemicals and bottle water has been tested to be not good for you either. So all this leaves me a little concerned for future inhabitants.
Our bodies are amazing, and the fact that the pesticides are coming out in your urine is a testament to the fact that your body cleans you out. I could never afford to go all organic. I’m not gonna fret about it. Or my children.
The object of eating organic is not to be neurotic, but to pay attention to what goes in the body. It’s a lifestyle. I buy organic products, not because they should be cheap or expensive, but because it’s good for my overall health. Of course I sometimes eat foods that are not certified organic, but compared to how I ate twenty years ago and now, there is a world of a differnce, and yes, I do feel better, physically and mentally. I think the object of “eating organically” is to limit the amount of toxins that go into our body. In the long, it’s bound to be profitable.
I grew up on a farm that would be called organic today. Our chickens would be called free range today (the first time I heard the term “free range chickens” I visualized my trying to herd them with my pinto and figured it would be akin to herding cats). Our small herd of Herefords (usually a little over 250 after calving) were grass fed. The super foods & and pesticides were available then but were far too expensive for our small operation which is why I see no reason to pay more for organic since, in my personal experience, it is far more expensive to use pesticides & gussied up feed.
Truly organic food is more expensive to produce because the farmer has to rely on tillage to control the weeds rather than chemicals, which means more man hours on the tractor and more fuel used. Also, the yields per acre tend to be smaller.
Organic has nothing to do with nutrition, is has Everything about HOW MUCH PESTICIDES are in your food. Everyone worries anout vacanations causing disease, one should think about pesticides. G, we get it. I will still do only organic!!!
Organic isn’t what it’s cracked up to be! If the farmer doesn’t use chemical or others, he doesn’t have to spend as much to grow his crop right? Then why is it more expensive? It should be cheaper! Also I know a farmer that grows or advertises his as organic, but it really is just the same as any other farmer in our area, when they spray he gets spray on his, so how can he advertise as organic, fools buy from him daily! I buy what is cheapest at the grocery. Spend your money on organic if you want, but don’t believe everything you are eating is what it’s advertised it is!
I feel physically bad when I don’t eat organic food. Everything else makes me sick. Most people are not aware that they’re feeling bad and that that is directly related to foods (and its additives) they eat.
What’s funny is that just because it says it’s “organic” people automatically think it actually is. The only way to eat 100% organic food is to grow it yourself. There’s runoff water from rain and all that, just because one farmer is organic doesn’t mean the farm a mile away is too. I believe that nothing is 100% organic unless you grow it in a very controlled environment. Just a thought for everyone! I know people who claim to eat all organic but grow their garden next to a farmer who sprays his crops, not exactly organic now is it!
Most people don’t understand what actual “organic” food production is and never will, hence why so called “organic” food can charge the premium it does and sells based on the mis belief of what it actually is. Here is a simple example, you take a so called “organic” potato and a so called “non organic” potato (what ever that may be?!) and deep fry them in oil……is one now healthier then the other?? Think about people!
People trash talking sustainably grown, healthier(organically produced foods are proven to be more nutrient dense)foods are just cheap naysayers who love to act smarmy and waggle their fingers saying “Because: Science”. Our bodies are designed to be part of nature, cocktails of petrochemicals are not naturally occurring in nature, and, therefore, are not intended to be part of our diet. It is simple as that. More vibrant health is enjoyed when you limit your exposure to toxins.
Most people don’t eat completely organic diets and guess what? They are not all dying, they’re not giving birth to 3 headed babies nor are they suffering from more unnatural diseases. I know that we have a great deal of problems with obesity and its related diseases but this epidemic is only recent compared to how long we have used chemical pesticides and it is probably more due to the overuse of high fructose corn syrup, modern stress and the proliferation of bad fast food. Everybody is mixing up possibility with probability. Sure it’s possible that non organic food is harming you but it is not probable as most people don’t eat organic food and they are doing just as well as the small percentage of organic only folks.
Dude, I’ve been eating organic for so many years now and I would never ever go back! It’s not worth it. There is so much unknown about what’s going on when these farmers start using sprays and chemicals and what not on our food.
Fascinating! I love how science is actually showing proof of what works and what is healthy for our bodies. A lot like medical marijuana. People are blinded by the potential because of what the masses say. Well science tells otherwise! Thanks for the share. Great post! http://Www.topscannabis.com
I work on an organic farm and eat only off the farm or what I produce myself. Using pesticides, fungicides and fertilisers made from petrochemicals and other nasties is absolute madness for a number of reasons which are now well documented so I don’t need to justify it. GM ought to be avoided too, if only for the fact that it takes power away from farmers and their communities and puts it into the hands of multinationals (as does the use of the aforementioned chemicals). But, speaking as a staunch supporter of organic food, what did that video tell us? Stop eating pesticides etc and they’ll stop building up in your body? Hardly mind blowing. This will do nothing to convince the people who claim they don’t eat organic food because it’s too expensive (for some people on extremely low incomes this may be true at times, but for most people I promise you it isn’t) or pointless. If you’re going to make a video attempting to demonstrate there are health benefits to eating organic food, then it must actually show that.
Organic means uncontrolled. It could be as harmful as not. Chemical is a description not something harmful. Everything has a chemical formula including people! There is a reason why we started treating crops and a reason why human lifespans increased when we did. Teaching most people science (the study of nature) is a pure waste of time as it is clear most didn’t understand and can’t apply the knowledge.
The only thing that will change by only eating organic food is my grocery budget. Not very many families can afford to purchase the overpriced organic foods.
Why do some people get so angry when people point out that chemicals are on our food and that it goes into our bodies when we eat them? Because they probably have a stake in the the chemical company, that’s why. There are good bugs in our stomachs and anyone can make the connection that if we eat something treated with pesticide that it will kill the good bugs. If big agriculture doesn’t get on board with more responsible, healthy and kinder practices they are gonna loose. People don’t want to eat chemicals or animals that have been tortured their entire life. There is a way to do it right. Think outside the (pesticide) box big agriculture. The world is counting on you.
Very subtle piece of work. How many of you saw how they manipulated you with this video?
They start with the question, “What effect does the consumption of pesticides have on your health?” With the obvious implication that if you watch the video they will answer the question.
Then they say, “This family will not consume pesticides for two weeks.” Thus leading you, again, to assume that there will be SOME sort of conclusion as to the health effects.
Next, a “scientific study”: Urine samples. Data. People in lab coats. Result: Not surprisingly, no pesticide residues are left after two weeks. But the question is still not answered. They are merely SUGGESTING to you, now that they’ve prepped you to expect an answer, that they just provided an answer. Naturally, your brain reaches a “conclusion” to fill the space the propagandists created in it.
FINALLY…..after they’ve already got you to draw the conclusion they wanted you to draw……they admit, very quietly, that they won’t be answering the original question at all. Merely concluding that “if you don’t eat pesticides then you won’t pee pesticides”. But their intended message has been received: Pesticides are bad for you.
This is how propaganda works. Nice job! I see what you did there.
We’re all going to hell in a hand basket. We could just as well eat twinkies (but I hate them). Just do your best each day to put things “of the earth” in your body and I think you’ll be okay. Or at least as okay as anybody who started dyeing the moment they started living could be.
Organic is still healthier imo even if it is grown in crappy soil and get some pesticides on it other ways. You still should soak and scrub your produce. As far as toxins, eating organic is not the only thing we should be doing to avoid toxins.. Environmental toxins are everywhere, it’s unavoidable but if you know the ways to detox your body then you’re a lot better off.
I don’t know where you learned your organic, we know an organic farmer, they can NOT use a toxic field, they have to prove no chemicals have been on it for a specific number of years and the soil has to be tested first. All the machinery they use must be washed and sanitized between each use. They are extremely picky.
Organics can harm you. Arsenic is organic. Organic vegetables can be grown in toxic soil and still be labelled organic if the soil is deposited by floods (as in the valley next to where I live – lots of organic farms with annual floods that wash all the upstream industrial waste onto their lands). Organic vegetables can carry e. coli. Organic is not safer than conventional. It is, as a previous poster said, just a label. All food is (in the chemical sense) organic.
g, they took a blodsample and looked for all types of stuff that should not be in the blod in the first place, and this is what they found.
Before and after the test.
They did not only looked for these certain pesticides.
Lol… so they only looked for pesticides that are used in “conventional” produce? You realize they still use pesticides on organic foods right? and that since they are “organic” pesticides that they have to use a LOT more of them? And that they obviously didn’t test for THOSE pesticides in their system, did they? Get your heads out of your asses. “Organic” is a label. And plenty of organic foods are extremely harmful.
It’s a logical fallacy and you’re all falling for it because “NATURE! YEAH!”
I won’t take a chance with anything I consume. I have one life, one body and I have a responsibility to my child and my family. If it means spending more money to give me peace of mind, then so be it. I don’t know enough about “conventional” produce or foods to say they won’t harm me. I know that organic cannot. Therefore, I go to what entails the least risk for me.
First, if your body works well and you eat this food, you MUST HAVE pesticides in your urin — urin is taking carbage out.
Second, “organic” mass production just uses different pesticides (which are not prohibited YET). If you test your urin for those, then you can found those as well. And effect for those pesticides is not know, YET.
So, if you are taking your garbage out from your house, can I say that your house if full of garbage? And can I tell that you are buying garbage based on that? This AD is based on false arguments.
Of course, if your body is not working well and can’t take garbage (incl. pesticides) out with urin and by other “outcoming”, then you must eat clean food, but not all “organic” are not clean…

you’re a douche
What’s to gross out about. It shows how good an organic diet can be. Better for you.
My manager where I work only eats organic, and that woman has, more migrains, and is always sicker then anyone else ummm ..I’m good just the way I am
I’m not sure what’s so gross about the results from eating organic. We all ate organic and lived longer before our food was poisoned.
I try to eat healthy and yes i can’t afford organic the fact that our water is full of chemicals and bottle water has been tested to be not good for you either. So all this leaves me a little concerned for future inhabitants.

You people are all idiots.
I eat what taste good. Plain and simple. Chemical or “organic”… If it taste good going down who f*#!ing cares how it was grown or raised.
Looks to me like the family was happy before they started the organic diet and still happy even after…. What was the significance of this test?
We still didn’t solve how they will afford this food….
This is a great story.
I eat as cleanly as possible each day possible.
The easiest and I hold the best way is to avoid eating our earthlings, no animal products for me, no violence goes in no violence comes out.
Peace
