Like many couples, Katie and Skylar were trying to conceive a baby using in vitro fertilization. Unexpectedly, Katie passed away. Now a year later, Skylar approaches insurmountable grief with enduring love and decides to use one of Katie's fertilized embryos to start their family. Heartbreaking. Beautiful. Yet, with a gender non-conforming pregnant protagonist, MA/DDY is more than a love story. It pushes the spectrum of what family is and flips traditional portrayals of mothers -- women for that matter -- right on their heads. We SO want to see this film. Contribute to this exciting moment where this project, like others (ahem...TRANSPARENT, OITNB), puts queer storylines at the forefront of our screens. Fund MA/DDY here.
